Moscado – The Silk Road

For Art Night Venezia 2024, an evening offering a kaleidoscope of emotions. During the evening, the new perfume “Moscado” is presented in preview, inspired by one of the most prized raw materials, musk, already described and brought to Venice by Marco Polo.
Also on display are the famous silk fabrics of the Tessitura Bevilacqua, a historic Venetian manufactory known throughout the world.
Marisa Convento, resident artisan, presents a capsule collection inspired by Asia.
During the special opening, visitors can watch interactive craft demonstrations and performances, such as the workshop by Ljupka Deleva on the Sumi-e painting technique, widely used in the Far East. During her performance, the artist Ljupka Deleva combines ink with the olfactory notes of the new fragrance “Moscado” by The Merchant of Venice.
Visitors are immersed in the atmospheres of other times and distant, exotic lands thanks to the musical harmonies of Aldar Dashiev, who plays the traditional Mongolian flute and sings ancient songs from his homeland.
The Eastern music is in dialogue with the melodies of the lutenist Carlo Santi.
In addition, during the special opening it is possible to taste some varieties of rare tea.
